Seeking Nihongo Doctor
This Monday morning like any other day, i woke up @ 8:30 am and was in a dilemma whether to go office or not..for something that has already happened to my eyes...Red eyes..yess thats wat really i saw on sunday morning when i woke up and was in the toilet to brush my tooth ..and suddenly i could see the red blood marks in both the eyes...
The first line that came tomy mind : "I am a horror movie"...so atlast i decide to visit a eye doctor instead of going to office...well in japan its really difficult to find a doctor who can least speak/understand english...so i called upon the Helpline Number ...then suddenly a sweet voice with japanese utters were heard..next thing i started up talking in japanese..did everything to make them understand that i need english assistance ..like i said "Korewa eigo ga wakarimas ka ?" and then with a word "Chotto Matte Kudaisai"..the telephone was tranferred to lady called Yuki San...i explained here everything about my eye conditions, my location and then i was asked to call them after 20 minutes....well they actually needed this all info as it will help them locate all the eye clinics around my location.
Around 9:25 am, i called the helpline number again to check whether they have found out any eye clinic..well they have found it and with all the god's grace one of them was at Gyotoku..and the other one is at place next to Gyotoku...so called Minami Gyotoku..i was given their address, phone numbers and the working days/timing details...well thats really good for me that i atleast found a eye clinic where in i can be feel safe...atleast we can understand each other !!!
The first clinic.. Takanawa Eye Clinic..oh..i called up but everything was messed up as the lady receptionist who picked up didn't know english and my disastrous japanese speaking made her more confused and when asked bout an appointment ..they said they are not free till wedenesday...wat am i gonna do 2day...ok so i tried out the next option ..minami gyotoku eye clinic..unfortunately the lady over there as well had some problems with english..so i had to start off in Nihongo...well i came to make her understandand; i guess we were kind of having a healthy conversion...and when asked for appointment.the same answer was heard by me..."Nai Desu yo" ....hey man...but i started saying them its an emergency...and later they tell me to come over to their clinic...oh..watever is it..at last i atleast can meet a doctor..
Well its not ended yet...now i was supposed to get in there and god knows wats gonna happen...
well everything worked smoothly...filled up some forms, enquiries bout NHI..which i didnt have so that means i have to bear the Consultation charges...Suddenlly my name was called up and i went inside and i was performed with some eye tests went fine though...and later the lady optician asked me to have a seat...i realized that they just had taken some earlier tests before the doctor's examination...Next i heard a sound of male called Biplab Narendra in typical japanese accent...oh mera number aa gaya (thats i thought)...so we talked (better be secret ..hahaha) and after some talking he said FINISHED...the word hit me in the bull-eyes...which in this case was already in bad colour...i felt as if something is really wrong with me...ahhha..but instead the doctor said no worries..prescribed me some eye drops to continue for a week... hopefully it will work..
Hmmm..thats the story how i managed to have a typical medical checkup rigt here in foreign land.Well its my first time visit to a doctor here in japan..i guess its definately not that bad either one could have thought off ! Will let u guys know how the medicines are working...may be after a week..in between if u are worried bout me(Why shld u be) or about a Medical check-up(in case u need some courage) then shoot me a mail.
