Mumbai's busy Traffic !

It's been a little over than 2 weeks of me being up here in Mumbai, and things look quite the same(seems to be so) i left this place 2 years back. Sometime before i did mention that we are doing pretty good in the infrastructure sector like the renovations of Airport, Road conditionsin selected regions, Setting up of big manufacturing units etc; but then if one considers the Traffic conditions esp. near the Powai and nearby areas one can surely raise a question mark on the current standard of Traffic system in the Metropolitian city. These heavy traffic is encountered on any regular Office hours and few of my friends who work in Powai do face this situation more often. And i assume that Govt. would have definately be aware of this fact and would have taken few stringent steps to solve this traffic issues.

But with the buying power of Indians multipling each year,as one of my friends says "We are the world's greatest consumers", people kind of going for 4-Wheelers and concept like 1Lac car is going to add more trouble to the current traffic situations not only in Mumbai but also to other developing cities all over india. It's not a new problem that we have been facing here for the first time, i assume most of the developed countries must also have faced this problem in during some stage during their advancement. Though these developing nations have not fully solved this problem but they have somehow managed to have a good control over this problem and i assume that we should also take this as learnings from these few developed nations and try to implement the same in our home as well.

It's been a tendency of every human to blame the Govt for the issues we faced day, which seems to be quite absurd to raise such allegations. But rather i would say that it's every Indian's responsibility to understand the situation and try to make this into to mind "One can't clap with a single hand" .
