People change managers not company !
With my 3.5 years of experience in IT field , i had seen severals new faces appearing from no where and some old known faces disappearing in the ever growing IT crowd. If you have observed that within the last few years the attrition rate is kind of growing and lots of people are moving in and out within different companies with new expectation and hope that they will get new opportunities, new work style, new things/technologies to learn that will help them grow on the professional level.
We have heard a lot regarding this topic and have come through several pros and cons but ultimately I still haven't figured it out whether the attrition rates being high or low really matters for a company ? Little confused, i guess i should be even the big guns sometimes feel the same way if they face really dilemma tic situation. But I guess no matter what company you are working for the policies remain the same everywhere but the only thing that makes a difference is the way the top managers implement and manage it. So ultimately these whole things comes on the shoulders of the top mangers to really retain the employees. Well some might agree to it and some don't !
